Formerly offering three churches, Foulridge now has only one. The Methodist Chapel on Skipton Road closed in the 1980s and was demolished. Towngate Mews now stand on the site. Mount Pleasant Chapel on County Brook Lane closed in 2008, and is now a private dwelling.
The construction of St. Michael and All Angels was authorised in 1903, and the handbill below invites villagers to the laying of the foundation stone.
