Village Hall

We are delighted to announce that a new cooker has been purchased for the kitchen in the Village Hall. Funds have come from the Foulridge Fundraisers Group and the Parish Council. The Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund has also kindly donated £400 towards the cooker's purchase, and we wish to express our sincere thanks.

The new cooker came into its own on Thursday, December 9th, 2010, when the annual Senior Citizen's Christmas Party was held in the Village Hall. Diane's Catering put on a wonderful traditional Christmas dinner for all who attended despite the atrocious wintry conditions

The event was opened by Parish Council Chairman Neil Barker, supported by Vice Chairman Graham Cannon. Councillors Ruth Sutton and Andrew Wilson also attended, as did retiring Clerk Betty Taylor, and incoming Clerk, Jane Killeen
